At 10AM, Nov. 22nd, 2012. Prof. Samuel Rong, the CEO of Canadian Foundation Center for International Education donated a HIGHLANDER cross country car, worth 300,000 Yuan to GuangXi Normal University, celebrating its 80th anniversary. The University held the car donation ceremony in front of the International Education Exchange Center.
Present at the ceremony guests are ： Samuel Rong, the CEO of Canadian Foundation Center for International Education，Liu jian bin ,the Vice President of Guangxi Normal University, Luo Yao guang, the secretary of Guangxi Normal University International Education Exchange Centre, Dai Jia yi, the director of Guangxi Normal University international education exchange centre,Mao li gang, the deputy director of Guangxi Normal University office, Zhu xiao mei , the deputy director of Guangxi Normal University International Education Exchange Centre, Zhou, the deputy secretary of Guangxi Normal University International Education Exchange Centre, and Pang Xia, the director of Guangxi Normal University office. The other International Education Exchange Center staff also attended the donation ceremony.
At the ceremony, after introducing the guests, the Vice President of Guangxi Normal University made a speech, called Prof. Rong affectionately as the old friend of Guangxi Normal University. In the speech, the Vice President Liu said, “I hope Guangxi Normal University and CFCIE will engage in a brighter, wider, and higher level of cooperation basis on the previous one.”
Profession Rong made a speech at the ceremony. He renowned Guangxi Normal University as the best normal university in the Zhuang region, a cradle of engineer of soul. It has enjoyed a high reputation in the high education sphere home and abroad. For 80 years, the university has cultivated generations of educator and scientist and thousands and thousands of hard-working gardeners working at the educational front. He said, “it is because of you that people’s souls because pure and the civilization of mankind could pass down. He wished the university has a bright future and enjoys its 80th birthday.”
In his speech, Prof. Rong briefly reviewed the course and achievements of the cooperation between CFCIE and Guangxi Normal University. In the past 4 years, CFCIE carried out a lot of activities, such as Sino- Canadian Cultural Exchange Ambassador”, project founding to assist poor students, and other students in their social practice. These activities were welcomed and praised by most of the teachers and students. Prof. Rong said he would continue to work hard to strengthen the cooperation with Guangxi Normal University to cultivate more and more excellent compound talents in this Sino-Canadian pattern.
Amid warm applause and blessing, Prof. Rong handed the key of the car to Vice President Liu. Vice Prsident Liu also returned Prof. Rong with a document of donation. Finally, all the people on the spot took a photo together. When the ceremony came to an end, Prof. Rong and vice principal Liu signed the formal donation agreement on the witness of all the guests.
