Prof. Samuel Rong, the CEO of Canadian Foundation Center for International Education was invited by Dr.McPhee, the President of Middle Tennessee State University to pay an educational visit to MTSU. Accompanying by all the leading officials of MTSU, Dr.McPhee received Prof.Rong with the highest standard of courtesy and gave a grand banquet to welcome the arrival of Prof.Rong.
Middle Tennessee State University was found in 1911 ,known as a famous state university . MTSU ranking the Top 23rd in the southern region of the United state. The most famous faculty is aerospace，aims at training aviation elites (such as civil aviation / private pilots, mechanics, aviation managers etc.).The construction of Aerospace needs a huge financial support to purchase large and small trainer, aviation simulator and other expensive equipments, thus MTSU is a very rich University. Its Business and Finance faculties are also very excellent, awarding doctoral degree. MTSU locates in the town of Murfreesboro,Tennessee. The town has a population of one hundred thousand about 35 minutes’drive to Nashville, capital of T.N. The Whites account for 88% of the population, constituting rich farmers and factory owners. Oversea Chinese residents are small so Chinese students here can be fully integrated into the local mainstream society.
Prof. Samuel Rong, the CEO of Canadian Foundation Center for International Education has created the Sino-Canadian International College, which has 3 cooperative partner universities. Each year ,the students in the SCIC are more than 2000 and 50 English foreigner teachers from Canada, the U.S and other English-speaking countries are employed by CFCIE to teach in China. And The students in Sino-Canadian model have the advantage that they are enrolled into the university with high marks needed by the key universities, so they have better English ability to adapt themselves to northern America campus life. The main purpose of Prof. Rong’s visit is to discuss in details about on cooperation with Dr. McPhee， so that Chinese students can go to study in America as soon as possible.
By the end of the visit, CFCIE and MTSU both have agreed to establish long-term partnership and help Chinese students of CFCIE cooperation project (SCIC and SCIS)go to study in MTSU university. President Dr. McPhee suggested that next fall, we can send the first group students of Canadian International College to study in MTSU. At the same time, Dr. McPhee, agreed to set up a representative office in Nanning, managed by CFCIE in place of MTSU.
The visit of Prof. Rong has successfully created the opportunity for execlent Chinese students to study abroad, to cultivate more international compound talents.
